Vanilla Cinnamon Almond Milk

INGREDIENTS 

(organic or sustainably grown)

Raw Almonds - 3 handfuls (a little over a cup)

Dates - 12

Cinnamon - teaspoon or more to taste.

Vanilla Extract - a couple small splashes.

Himalayan Pink Salt - a pinch or 2 to taste.

 

 

What to Do

 

  1. Soak the almonds and dates overnight in separate jars. You will need 4 ½ cups of water for the dates, you will be using this naturally sweetened water to make the milk. 

  2. Rinse the almonds and discard the water.

  3. Blend the almonds, dates (remove pits) and date water in a food processor or blender,

  4. Add the cinnamon and salt.

  5. Blend until the mixture is about as smooth as ground up almonds are gonna get.

  6. Filter the mixture into an ‘easy pour’ bowl or pot.

  7. Add the vanilla after you have filtered the almond milk.

 

 

Keep the almond/date grinds! They can be used for cookies, pancakes, shakes, etc. Enjoy!
